Margaret Sanger: A Modern Day Hero?

Updated: Feb 27

History told in the book of Exodus

Exodus 1:11-22  So they put slave masters over them to oppress them with forced labor, and they built Pithom and Rameses as store cities for Pharaoh. But the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and spread; so the Egyptians came to dread the Israelites and worked them ruthlessly. They made their lives bitter with harsh labor in brick and mortar and with all kinds of work in the fields; in all their harsh labor the Egyptians worked them ruthlessly. The king of Egypt said to the Hebrew midwives, whose names were Shiphrah and Puah, “When you are helping the Hebrew women during childbirth on the delivery stool, if you see that the baby is a boy, kill him; but if it is a girl, let her live.” The midwives, however, feared God and did not do what the king of Egypt had told them to do; they let the boys live. Then the king of Egypt summoned the midwives and asked them, “Why have you done this? Why have you let the boys live?” The midwives answered Pharaoh, “Hebrew women are not like Egyptian women; they are vigorous and give birth before the midwives arrive.” So God was kind to the midwives and the people increased and became even more numerous. And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own.

Exodus 1:15-22 tells us about the king of Egypt who used Israelite slaves to build his empire, and as they grew in number the Egyptians began to fear that the Israelites would become too strong and overpower them. To put an end to this, the king of Egypt spoke to the Hebrew midwives, Shiphrah and Puah and he commanded them to kill every Hebrew boy at birth out of fear that the Hebrews would outnumber the Egyptians, and overpower them. However, the midwives feared God and did not follow the king's orders; instead, they saved the boys. When the Pharaoh questioned them, the midwives explained that Hebrew women were vigorous and often gave birth before they could arrive to help. Because the midwives respected God, He blessed them, and the Hebrew population grew strong and numerous.

The known origins, but less popular history of Planned Parenthood.

"Planned Parenthood's' CEO acknowledges founders ties to KKK but says, 'We can’t simply call her racist.' This is an article written by Colton Emma, for the Washington Examiner in on April 19, 2021, explaining how Manhattan New Yorks, Planned Parenthood would remove Margaret Sangers name from their building. The author provides quotes from multiple sources explaining the removal of the founders name such as this one from Karen Seltzer, the chairwoman of the New York affiliate’s board which states “The removal of Margaret Sanger’s name from our building is both a necessary and overdue step to reckon with our legacy and acknowledge Planned Parenthood’s contributions to historical reproductive harm within communities of color,” The article explains how the company Planned Parenthood refused to acknowledge Margaret Sanger's ties to the KKK, and other white supremacist groups, and labeled her as a hero and called her a "protector of bodily autonomy and self-determination, while excusing her association with white supremacist groups and eugenics as an "unfortunate 'product of her time.' The company will no longer try and hide the facts about their founder". The article states how Margaret Sanger wrote In some of her writings, where she referred to black Americans, immigrants, and indigenous Americans as "human weeds," "reckless breeders," who are "spawning ... human beings who never should have been born."

Unfortunately, the removal of someone's name does not change the fact that "Planned Parenthood" is still a corporation that hurts minorities, especially those of the black community. Whether they want to admit it or not, black Americans have the highest abortion rates, and Margaret Sanger's sadistic plans to control the black and poor population are being carried out as we speak. From the beginning the corporation supported racist ideas that were lied about to appeal to the black community and to control the black population and other minorities. Planned Parenthood gained support through deceptive practices and manipulation. They placed prominent black, religious figures in front of their clinics to promote the idea that they were for the black community, hiding the fact that they supported forced sterilization on African American woman and funded the trial of 1,500 minority women on birth control in which the birth control had 20 times more the amount than the safe hormonal dose has today, and in which the women were unaware of the medicine not being tested yet. Because of the deceptive clinical trials, we now have access to the safe dose, but many women were harmed in the process. Margaret Sanger introduced her plans in a letter dated Dec,10,1939 to Clarence Gamble, where she writes: "The most successful, educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don't want the word to get out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members."

Planned Parenthood admits to most of these claims on plannedparenthood.org, but insists that the past does not define planned parenthood as of today. Unfortunately, the data of black abortions proves otherwise. Most who support the corporation, don't realize that it proves, Margarate Sanger; the founder, achieved what she believed in the early 1900s. She strongly endorsed "eugenics" an idea that labeled certain people "unfit" to have children, which is a theory in which society can be improved through planned breeding. The same tactics are being carried out by placing clinics and "education" in low-income communities of color, and using deceptive language and false claims on their website, such as their theory on the Hyde law. They call the law "discriminatory" because it prevents those on Medicaid from receiving an abortion through government assistance unless they were raped or got pregnant through incest. But the sad reality is that 300,000 abortions per year were being paid for by the government and most of those women were black Americans, the Hyde Amendment is a protection towards minorities, and I believe that protection comes from God. Sometimes what seems to be a curse, is a blessing in disguise.

Margaret Sanger has been hailed as a modern-day hero! I believe modern-day pharaoh is a more fitting title. It is ironic that a woman who wanted a "clean society" would seek to decrease the black population and the poor, but promote such a narrow-minded view; where more who thought like her could flourish. We need fewer mindsets like Margaret Sanger's in the world. We need more support towards each other and our differences that make this world beautiful. History is indeed, repeating itself, and Planned Parenthood uses false motives, such as women's rights to continue racial genocide. I for one, wish we were not deprived of the beautiful black, Hispanic, and poor minds that are being eliminated in large quantities, or any life for that matter.

May the Lord remove every pharaoh who operates out of fear, out of office, may they be replaced with those who value life, who promise hope and a future for all the born and the unborn. Leaders who do not promote genocide, but leaders who promote love and life more abundantly. I pray that the Lord blesses all those who have yet to find the truth and that He touches their hearts, giving them hope as they face unexpected pregnancies. I encourage considering adoption as a viable option, and to be richly blessed by God in ways they never thought possible. In Jesus' name, Amen.
